About Ditzfeld

For more than 60 years, Ditzfeld Transfer has remained a family-owned company built on trust, experience, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

Our Story

Founded in 1960 by John and Bernice Ditzfeld, Ditzfeld Transfer began with just two trucks serving the Sedalia, Missouri area. Through hard work and a commitment to reliable service, the company steadily grew—adding its first tractor-trailer in 1968 and expanding its fleet over the following decades.

In 1997, Ditzfeld added warehousing to its services, laying the foundation for a fully integrated logistics operation. Over time, the company also expanded into container and trash services, providing customers with dependable waste solutions alongside transportation and storage. Ron Ditzfeld's leadership helped shape Ditzfeld Transfer into the diversified transportation, warehousing, and service organization it is today. His commitment to customer relationships, operational excellence, and long-term growth established a strong foundation for future generations and continues to influence the company's culture and values.

Today, the third generation leads the business. Following the passing of Ron Ditzfeld in 2020, Steve and Sam Ditzfeld stepped into leadership roles as President and Vice President, working together to guide the company forward. They now oversee more than 1 million square feet of warehouse space, a fleet of over 50 power units and 160 trailers, and a growing container service division.
